TAPES FOR for BINDING CARDBOARD, PAPER, FOIL, LIGHT ELEMENTS MADE OF ARTIFICIAL MATERIALS

In order to bind light materials, like cardboard, paper, film, textiles, plastic, the economic double-sided adhesive tapes are mostly applied. This type of double-sided tapes is also used in binding to and fixing floor coverings and carpets on the floors.

These economic double-sided adhesive tapes have minor thickness of adhesive carrier and good binding parametres in interiors.

The most commonly used adhesive carriers are PP or PE films or thin synthetic fabrics, which allow for convenient manual tearing off, saving time which would be used for scissors or knife application.

Thin double-sided tapes can also have no carrier, only as clear adhesive layer (adhesive film), available in rolls and sheets.

Below we present only a few out of several hundred available thin double-sided tapes.

FINGER-LIFT tapes for gluing envelopes

Tapes for envelopes have the extended protective layer of silicon release paper, allowing for fast removal of tape, releasing the active adhesive strip to close the envelope.

Basic widths of Finger-Lift tapes:

5 mm – adhesive strip / 10 mm – protective layer of silicon release paper

6 mm – adhesive strip / 12 mm – protective layer of silicon release paper

9 mm – adhesive strip / 15 mm – protective layer of silicon release paper

Finger-Lift tapes are available in 500m-long rolls or in 10000 m – machine rolls.

 

ATG adhesive coating

ATG Scotch system consists of thin double-sided adhesive tapes, without carrier (so-called ATG adhesive films) designed for application using Scotch ATG 700 applicator.

Adhesive film is easily carried in- it is enough to press the button of the applicator and drag the rubber roll of the applicator over the surface, apply even layer of the adhesive exactly on the spot.

Basic dimensions of rolls: 9 mm x 33 m, 12 mm x 33 m.

Adhesive films for lamination are used in the production of self-adhesive

Faceplates in control panels, for fastening emblems, information plates and other decorative elements and in the production of membrane keyboards.

Their characteristic feature is the excellent adhesion to metals and artificial materials, very good resistance to shear forces, resistance to high temperature (short-term up to 200°C), resistance to solvents, and its short-term repositioning allows for a precise binding of items.

3M adhesive films are available in rolls and sheets of 610 mm x 915 mm sizes.
